Miros Mocean is a result of exactly this. The platform is centered around digital sea state data, providing accurate, real-time vessel performance insights to improve in-service vessel performance optimization, charter party performance and fuel efficiency. Globally there is a significant push to decarbonize the shipping industry and a clear sense of urgency to act now. Therefore, Miros Mocean is accelerating its development and entering a new phase with ambitions of international growth.

To tackle the challenges ahead we are looking for a VP Product to help reach our goals. Therefore, we need to find a dedicated and enthusiastic person to drive our product roadmap, take an active part in developing our position in the market and accelerate our growth. This role will report directly to the CEO.

The Role:

In this new company, you will have the freedom and opportunity to shape the company and the role thereafter. You will lead the product strategy to position Miros Mocean as a leading provider of data and vessel performance insights to ship owners, operators and charterers. You will be part of safeguarding the tech and the continuous development of the product.

Main responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed product roadmaps and release plans.
  • Coordinate internal and external R&D projects related to the product.
  • Participate in the agile process: backlog maintenance and prioritization, participate in standups and coordination with the software team.
  • Planning, execution and follow-up of testing.
  • Ensure sufficient product quality.
  • Pilot project management and support during the early phase of product development.
  • Work actively as a facilitator between and together with specialists, developers, sales, operations, management, partners, and customers.
  • Documentation.
  • Understand the market and customer requirements and prioritise these when planning.
  • Work together with key customers and solution partners.
  • Participate in sales and marketing activities (customer meetings, conferences, workshops, social media, etc.)
  • Train and support sales and operations teams.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for both a sparring partner to the CEO of Miros Mocean, and someone deep into the details of dev-ops specifications. Preferably someone who understands both SW (must-have) and HW (nice to have) development. Relevant experience and documented record in product management is also a must.

Furthermore, we believe you will need to have excellent presentation, communication, IT, and administrative skills as well as the ability to work with purpose and take initiative.
